Calling all Bryan researchers who are interested in joining the Bryan Surname Project! The wonderful project leaders with One Name Studies have helped get the Bryan Name Study up and running. Bryants, Brians, and any other variations of Bryan are also welcome to join!

My hope is that this group will be a great resource for research, sharing, DNA comparisons, and maybe even help members get past a brick wall or two!

Please feel free to join the project by following the instructions on the "How to Join" section of the Bryan Name Study page comment or reply below if you are interested in joining or have any questions!  Admittedly I am still learning the ropes on this project page and would love to have another well-versed admin join me on managing the project.

Thanks and looking forward to welcoming new members!

Hello, yes i would like to join. Please tell me how to do it. I am not that good at connecting and research yet. I also have a tree my grandmother was Hattie Bryan birth2-3-1912. Thank you
Hi Leslie!
Thank you for your interest in joining the Bryan Name Study!
There are two ways to join the project.
The easiest way to join is if you go to the Bryan Name Study page (follow the link in the original post). Once you are there, look for the header in bold titled "Collaboration" (this should be at the top right hand side of the page if you are on a computer, or towards the bottom if you are on a mobile device.) The first green arrow under "Collaboration" should say "Edit." Click the last link that says "request to join the Trusted List."
This will allow me to add you/your WikiTree profile to the project easily.

The other way I can add you is a bit more involved.  You would need to message me with the email address that is associated with your WikiTree account. This would allow me to send you an invitation to join, and you could then accept the invitation.

Either way you decide to join, I am happy to welcome another Bryan genealogist!
Thanks again for your interest!
Best,
Laura

Hi Laura,

I would be pleased to join the Bryan project. Like you, I descend from both the Bryan and Boone families. I have just confirmed this fairly recently. I checked and our dna does not match. Neither are we related according the the relationship finder. I think we must have a connection way back somewhere, however.

For anyone who wants to compare, my GedMatch # is M912533.
