Samuel Sands b. 1744 and b. 1723

Question

Samuel Sands (Sands-350) appears to be a combination of two different individuals. Additional information and sources are provided in the Reference Notes in his profile.

After reviewing the 25 different Samuel Sands on WikiTree, I am looking for inputs on the following changes.

Since Sands-350 has the correct parents and some correct children, disconnect his incorrect spouse Mercy Gedney-27 and associated children. Update his biography and sources – I will do this.

Compare Gedney-27 and Gedney-133 to see if a merge should be proposed.

Compare Sands-1684 and Sands-1683 to see if a merge should be proposed. Note that Gedney-133 is the spouse of Sands-1684.

I suggest that you keep the current profile intact until you are pretty sure the profile managers have had time to see your messages, so they have had an opportunity to be aware of what you are doing. (Give them a day or two...)

After that, your plan to keep the parents for Sands-350 makes sense. And since Sands-1683 and Sands-1684 have the birth date for other man, move the information (and connections) for that man over to one of those profiles and correct the data on Sands-350.

Merges can wait until you have one good profile for each of the distinct individuals.
