Trying to verify the connection of Notable, Keanu Reeves, to James Hicks. Does James have a daughter, Mary?

After reading a detailed discussion between two researchers on James Hicks and Judith Collier, it appears there are two in the same family. These would need to be sorted out, so I guess I need some more help.

You might look at both of their connections to this guy:

He shows up on the mid-point between the two of them and might be a reasonable shared ancestor to check out.

As to Mary - I really don't know at the moment.

Trying to back into a profile isn't really the easiest way to do it. ;)

He names his children in his will. There are only two daughters, Salley Hardaway & Nancy Vines Hicks

This is true, but I think the two are more than 10 steps away from each other. Link-331 is 10 steps away from Hicks.

Unfortunately Link-331 is more than 10 steps away from Reeves.

So the next thing I did was see where the halfway point might be between Link and Reeves, like Smith-17660

Link-331 is 10 steps away from Smith-17660

But Reeves and Smith are still more than 10 steps away - so the last one - Victor-22

Smith-17660 and Victor-22 are 6 steps away, and Reeves-4188 and Victor-22 are 6 steps away.

So one path to connecting these two "could" go through these relatives, and the path would be around 32 steps. If the goal is to verify that a connection exists, this should be sufficient.

I guess I'm a little confused. Is this for some future "special" for the connection finder or just for personal interest? A connection doesn't mean a relationship. Is there something special about James HIcks that I'm unaware of? You'll have to forgive me. Too little sleep makes me a bit slow on the uptake. lol

by a serious researcher, who gave me the path, but did not include both parents, all the way through. I am working on filling that gap with sources. James Hicks, mother, Esther Francis Luten, is an older half sister to my 7th great grandmother, Rachel Luten Farlee/Farlow.
