Capt Donald Bain Mackintosh, born to Alexander Mackintosh and Margary McDonald in 1840 was a Knight Templar and is listed in a book thereof.  I sent a request a couple of years ago via email and received a reply that they would research and send me information however I've never heard back and cannot find the email now.  Help!  I also am at a brick wall on Alexander Mackintosh who was in the 1851 census as a teacher.  He died young (perhaps around 1856 give or take) according to the obit of Capt Mackintosh.  However that was written by his son when Mackintosh died in Idaho in 1910.  Hope the Masons have some info.  Aloha, Don

Don, thee is a national organization of Knights Templar and there are  State organizations of Knights Templar, plus all the local chapter (Commandery) all over the USA.  If you know the state  or local Commandery your Knight joined, you can look them up on the computer.  You can l\use the telephone book to give you information about local Knights =Templar Commanderys in that area.  Each organization has a secretary(recorder Who can help you get the information you want,  May your quest be fruitful and interesting.  I hope this helps.  Call back here if you need more help.
Hi Sam.  Thanks for the suggestions.  I had contacted the two organizations where I knew Capt. Mackintosh belonged, however they did not have much background information about him.  I don't know which lodge he may have belonged to in New Brunswick, although I suspect it was in Saint John.  He was a member of the lodge in White Sulphur Springs, MT in the 1890s but they had not history when I had it checked before.  I'll try to narrow it down in New Brunswick.  Thanks much again for your assistance and suggestion.  It is an area that might get me past the wall I'm up against.  Aloha, Don Mackintosh

Hadn't tried that place but see that it has many opportunities.  Capt Mackintosh was  initially in Canada and fortunately the organization is referenced there too.  Many thanks and hope I can get through, around or over the brick wall that stands behind Capt Mackintosh's father, Alexander. Aloha, Don
