MY previous request had some wrong dates.charles Twose was born 1883 his father was John born 1856 and married Elizabeth Winter 1875.

I believe his father may be called John.it is his father that I am looking for.

There is a john born 1835 who married Ann furze who might be the one and if so I then need his father.

TWOSE, CHARLES         WINTER
GRO Reference: 1882  S Quarter in WELLINGTON SOMERSET AND DEVON  Volume 05C  Page 329

John and Charles seem to have had a joint wedding by the looks of it (same page)

Marriages Dec 1875
Farmer    Mary       Wellington Som     5c    539
Twose     Charles     Wellington Som    5c    539
Twose     John        Wellington Som    5c    539
WINTER    Elizabeth  Wellington Som     5c    539

It was John who married Elizabeth:

"England and Wales Census, 1881," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q276-39JD : 20 August 2016), John Twooze, Wellington, Somerset, England; from "1881 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing p. 4, Piece/Folio 2362/28, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey; FHL microfilm 101,774,715

"England and Wales Census, 1891," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:WPHV-73Z : 1 April 2016), Elizabeth Twose in household of John Twose, Wellington, Somerset, England; from "1891 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO RG 12, Somerset county, subdistrict, The National Archives of the UK, Kew, Surrey

There are two strong possibilities for John's birth:

TOOZE, JOHN         ESCOTT
GRO Reference: 1855  D Quarter in WELLINGTON - SOMERSET AND DEVON  Volume 05C  Page 355
TOOZE, JOHN         WESTON
GRO Reference: 1855  S Quarter in WELLINGTON - SOMERSET AND DEVON  Volume 05C  Page 357

William Tristram Tooze married Ann Escott in 1853 but died in Q1 1858
Here is the family in 1861 with Ann's father present as "Ascott"

"England and Wales Census, 1861," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M7DV-JT1 : 28 September 2016), John Tooze in household of Ann Tooze, Holcombe Rogus, Somersetshire, England; from "1861 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO RG 9, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey

The other one is the child of John Tooze b. c. 1810 and Mary Ann b. c. 1827

"England and Wales Census, 1861," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M7DV-VHP : 28 September 2016), John Tooze in household of John Tooze, Holcombe Rogus, Somersetshire, England; from "1861 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO RG 9, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey

Note that William Westcott Tooze is in the household. John Tooze married Mary Ann Westcott in Q2 1855

Marriages Jun 1855
TOOZE       John         Wellington     5c    597
WESTCOTT    Mary Ann     Wellington     5c    597

So either Weston is just a mistake for Westcott or Mary Ann was a widow with a maiden name of Weston. This is quite likely given the age difference but I can't find any evidence.
