Said GEDCOM is 11K in size

I have 69 persons in said GEDCOM.
John, I'm not an expert on GEDCOM imports, but 69 people doesn't sound very large. I wonder if there is something about the format of the GEDCOM causing issues. (Maybe "garbage" characters or something that the system can't handle.)

Hopefully someone with more experience will answer.  (I imported a GEDCOM once, but it's been a long time and they changed the process since then.)  I do think you're wise to keep it small.  Good luck!

I have successfully uploaded two previous GEDCOMs to Wikitree, using the same computer to format and load said GEDCOM.  The third one will not load even though it only had 69 people in it.  Wikitree says the "image" is too large.  I have reduced the content twice. What now?
John,

If you don't get an answer from someone more experienced than I am pretty soon, maybe you should ask again, but put a few "tags" at the bottom of your post.

The tags (little words in green at the bottom of a post) help because certain people (like the "tech" type people) are only looking at posts that they think apply to them, and only notice posts with tags that interest them.

I'm not sure how to add tags after the fact, but if you ask again,  look carefully for the chance to add tags before you submit the post, I think it will say something at the bottom about adding tags.  I would make one that says "Gedcom" and one that says "tech", and maybe some other tags if you can think of something descriptive. (Sometimes popular tags are suggested after you start typing something.)

I sure hope you get some help soon.  I know how frustrating it is to have to wait when you just want to get going.

Hi John, I suggest you add the tags; GEDCOM, GEDCOMPare to your question then it should be noticed by those working with GEDCOM's.

Send an email message to info @ wikitree.com. Attach the Gedcom file (raw data).

It is also possible it is a default answer because you have people in your gedcom born before 1700. (Even if you are pre-1700 certified) Those can not be added by a gedcom.

I'm curious to know if this might actually be the case.

I don't think that could be it. GEDCOMs with pre-1700 and pre-1500 do not have problems with the upload. There is just a notice on the upload page with when the earliest person was born and a link to info about pre-1700.
