I still show in relationships that I'm my own daughter.

Question

There's nothing wrong with  my mother, father entries. I don' t know where the person who was kind enough to try to answer was looking,but I'm right there with my parents & brothers.  She could have been confused by the  J.D. Scott designation.

Hi Darlene,

               I just checked your public profile and family tree, what you need to remember that due to the privacy level setting on your profile we can't see everything you can see, all we can see is your Public Profile Page and your Family Tree pages.

On your public profile it clearly shows you as the daughter of your parents and the same for the family tree. Also using the app built into to chrome for checking errors on profiles shows everything is ok on your profile, in fact the only thing I noted was that your age was unspecified in the app.

As your profile details are private they can't be seen.  Try this:

Go to your profile, across the top - click the EDIT tab.  On your page, scroll down the right side and look at the 'children'.

If you are listed as your own child, first click on that child and make sure the WikiTree ID is the same as yours, and is not an accidental double entry with a slightly different ID.

If it is the same person - go back to your own profile,

click the add/edit link below your name as child.

On the page that comes up - scroll to the very bottom - and click the button that allows you to remove that child from yourself as parent.

If you that doesn't help, you could add me, or one of the other responders to your trusted list so they can help fix it for you.   Chris
