Janice, I feel that your Nana did not dress like this to pose for a picture. A pretty woman so beautifully dressed. Do you know what she did for a living? It seems to me that this was a power walk rather than a housewife visiting downtown. She is much better dressed than most of the men in the picture. Thanks for sharing your Nana with us.

Wonderful Family Treasure ! Lovely smart, circa sophisticated yet conservative suit with an exquisite felt, expressive couture hat ! The coat lines, fabric and shoulder cut are quite avant garde and progressive modern for the times. Lovely soft sweater just distal knees skirt length, black reflecting hand purse and bold matching persona and gloves.
