Hoping to get some feedback on my theory.
I've been trying to figure out the maiden name of Nathan Paine's wife. Her name is Margaret A. and she was born in New York in roughly 1862. All the Censuses I have found her in with Nathan indicate her father was born in England and her mother in Ireland.
Here is the list of Sources for Nathan - the one in 1880 is Nathan with his parents and the ones after that have Margaret in them.

I happened to decide to do a search through the 1880 Census for people named "Margaret A." that were born in New York around 1862 to see if I could potentially find Margaret with her parents.
I happened to find Margaret A. Drury, who is living in the exact town in New York that Nathan was in 1880! She also was born in 1862 and her father was born in England, mother in Ireland.
Do you think I could have enough evidence to tentatively confirm that Nathan's wife Margaret's maiden name was Drury?
"United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch(
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MZD8-MG7 : 7 September 2017), Margaret A Drury in household of Samuel L Drury, Nunda Station, Livingston, New York, United States; citing enumeration district ED 34, sheet 326C, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 0859; FHL microfilm 1,254,859.
Notice the town/county match to Nathan's entry for the 1880 Census at the top of the post.
Note that I did find the marriage index for Nathan and Margaret's son Lyle, though the index does not list the parent's names and I really don't have the money to find the required death certificates for both Lyle and his wife to be able to qualify to get a copy of their marriage record sadly.
