Need help locating parents for John L Clark born about 1857 N. Carolina, moved to AL, married Mary Elizabth Jones Clark

There is a John L. Clark, Lizzie Clark.  John born in NC living in Dale, AL in 1900.  Shows father as James S. 1823-1879 and mother Sophia Jane Brown 1831-1910.  This info is from a family tree on Ancestry.  If you could give the names of the children of John and Mary Elizabeth it would help.  There are several John and Mary or John and Lizzie or John and Elizabeths with birthdates around 1857...some in NC, some in SC.  Hope this helps.

I have done some more research and some of the details i had were wrong---He was John L Clark born South Carolina 2/11/1856---died Dale County Alabama 7/8/1928---these dates are from his headstone at the family Cemetary---His wife was Ida Elizabeth Jones (i orginally had Mary Elizabeth)--- 1870-1943--children

Allie 1894, Abbie Buford (later to be A.B., Sr.) 1895, Johnny W 1903, JP 1904, Mary Lizzie 1907, Ralph 1909, Eddie Ray 1912 --(Eddie Ray is my husband's grandfather)

The John L. Clark I noted in my other comment would be the one you are looking for.  The Smith Family tree on Ancestry show John L. Clark married to Ida Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jones with children you lis.  Parents forJohn L. are shown as James S. Clark 1823 SC - 17 Nov 1879 and Sophie Jane Bown 1831 1910.  No parents are shown for James S. Clark.   I do not show a connection so far in my Clark line, but if I run across one I wil let you know.  Good Luck..
