What were their names? When and where were they born? When did they settle there? What specific information are you seeking about them?

Hi David and welcome to G2G!

In 1850, the US Census listed only one family:

"United States Census, 1850," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MXQS-26L : 12 April 2016), George Keener, Thompson, Geauga, Ohio, United States; citing family 190, NARA microfilm publication M432 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.).

All born in Germany.  George 1802, Elizabeth 1800, Charles 1827, Elizabeth 1832, and Rosina 1770.

Is that who you are looking for?

So, does the downvote mean that's not who you were looking for?

This is great stuff.  I might have to make these profiles myself.  laugh

When I did a search at familysearch.org of records for the surname Keener using the residence of Ohio  and the date range of 1800 to 1820 I came up with 4620 results but without the information Deb mentioned I can not narrow it down more. I would suggest trying to find a possible history of the area or if you live near Chardon, Ohio go to the Chardon Branch of the Geauga County Public Library, They have a staff genealogist and a fairly large genealogy department there.

Lewis William Keener (Ludwig Wilhelm Kühner), and his older brother Karl, emigrated in 1851 and settled in that area. He's buried at Maples Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
