My profile name is Anonymous but wish to edit it

I put my profile name in as Anonymous but wish to edit it. How do I do that?

One additional point to Herb's great explanation ... make sure the Preferred Name field has something in it. The preferred name has two functions. The first is to allow our nicknames to be used such as my Deborah to Debi. The other is part of WikiTree's anonymization process. If you leave Preferred Name blank, the software will fill in Anonymous automatically.

You have to be logged in to WikiTree.

Pull down the My WikiTree menu and click Profile to open your profile.

Click the Edit tab.

Change anything you want to change.

Don't forget to click Save Changes!

While you are there, why not add a tag or two and volunteer?  Once confirmed, that will upgrade you to Family Member status, which allows you to create profiles for your relatives.
