OMGoodness... Perhaps she didn't (or maybe she did) know what to expect "on the night".  Poor girl.  But what a great photo, It looks like her dress and veil are quite ornate or well decorated.  Thank you for sharing.

I wonder if the photo was technically adjusted ? It has the "photoshop" appearance of one eye duplicated for the other. It is a technique often used to account for artifacts, poor exposure, divided lighting etc etc ..In this case her left eye being used to create her right eye. The overexposure leading from her right to a lighter right side of her nose, mouth, hair line and veil does not match with her right eye exposure. Usually the point of light reflected in the eye is positioned slightly different given the distance between the eye centers. This photo shows them to be perfect of each other. If indeed this a reproduced photo one of the known artistic outcomes when copying one eye for the other is a "stare effect." ... In kind regard ..

Jerry, I see exactly what you are saying when I look closely. Maybe she wasn't as afraid as I thought.

You sure looked close at the picture.  I thought I examined them closely.

Good "eye".  lol
Greetings Cheryl , I've used the copy technique to recover a image so I've created a few stares myself. I learned to slightly modify the copy so it isn't too exact. Another clue for me is that any experienced photographer who understands the feelings people have about seeing their picture would have never submitted this photo ... Even so her straight level neutral postured mouth beckons a mystery .. If you cover her right eye with your hand , her persona appears more natural and possibly for her a softer resolve.

I think ... In kind regard
Thank you Jerry. for your kind remarks. I will look for these things in the future.
