I just posted a question looking for the origin of John Pearce Sr (who fathered Joseph, John Jr., and William Pearce) in Monmouth County, New Jersey. This was from a record prepared by Jeffrey O. Brown in 2019 that seems well researched through the document, but does not include full sources at the end. Throughout the document, it references that John Jr. and William being neighbors south of the Manasquan River. The second marriage would fit with John Jr.; Hope this helps!
Joseph Pearce, the son of John Pearce, Sr., married Joyce __?__, circa the 1720’s (if she was his first wife). Joseph owned land in Monmouth County. There were likely other children, but he is known to have had three sons; Thomas, who married Elizabeth Newman, Jeremiah, who married Deborah Brower, and Joseph, Jr.
John Pearce, Jr., the son of John Pearce, Sr., married Lydia Fish by a license obtained on October 17, 1746 in Monmouth, NJ. John Pearce, Jr. owned land in Monmouth, but moved to the north-west part of NJ, at least for a time, before apparently returning to Monmouth. After his death, his widow, and at least some of his children went to western Pennsylvania. They are reported to have had the following children; Job Pearce, who married Mary/Molly Pearce (reportedly a cousin), Joseph Pearce, probably married Elizabeth Vannote, John Pearce, married 1st, Mary Stout, and 2nd, Margaret Jane Vannote, Jacob Pearce, who married Elizabeth Colkett, Lydia Pearce, and David Pearce, married Deborah Smith.
William Pearce, the son of John Pearce, Sr., married Mary Bennett, by a license obtained on February 7, 1742/43 in Monmouth, NJ. William owned land in Monmouth County, bordering his brother, John, Jr. The following children are known; John Pearce, likely married Hannah Vannote, William Pearce, Jr., and Joseph Pearce... also likely; Margaret, Mary (Molly), James, Job (possibly lame), Joshua and Isaac.
