Is there a category for civilian casualties in the Rev War?

It is fairly well documented that my great uncle Archibald McClurkin was hung by Col Tarleton in Chester co South Carolina during the revolutionary war. I want to add a category to indicate this, but I don't see one that's approprate since he wasn't killed or even wounded in battle. He may have fought with the SC militia, but I don't have certain proof of that. Am I missing something or does this category not exist?

I think this would have be a new category. If he was part of the militia or even civilian, then there might be a whole class of folks as the Backcountry war was probably the most savage during the Revolution. Ol’ Babastre wasn’t the kind of fella who would care about the distinction. This was true even among civilian neighbors.

Maybe Backcountry war deaths. (Forget the hanging part, others were just shot. That way they could all fit in he same category.)
