Mixed results from FindAGrave "memorial" of Old Salem Village Cemetery Lt Thomas Fuller

I love it when a FindAGrave lists with certainty a birth date, especially when the memorial stone only lists a death date. Also, the creator or other contributors produce a narrative that is dense reading, but purports to identify parents, grandparents, etc., with no specific mention of sourcing.

I do not know about this period in Salem Massachusetts history well enough to evaluate, but some of what is presented on the memorial site seems salvageable and noteworthy*:
{{FindAGrave|64288626}}.

* The photos included are described as: "the cenotaph for the Fullers is in the Needham Cemetery, and includes Thomas and his wife Hannah, but they are almost certainly buried in the old Dedham Cemetery;" the second photo only would presume includes direct progeny; thus, those dates ought to be valuable and based upon researched records.

For now, I will proceed with caution in adding anything substantial regarding the above, but I wanted to invite project area folks to evaluate the ancestral aspects of the memorial (also, some of the descendants match, but of course, some don't).

Unclear to me how Dedham/Needham and Salem are involved with one another in your question.  While they are certainly both within the vicinity of Boston, during that period there is not a lot of cross-pollenation.  We see families spread out from one community to a neighbouring community, and at times there are long distance links by specific comunites (Salem Village and Maine).  There are frequently "radial" links - like spokes on a wheel from Boston outwards. I have not previously noted a connection between Salem and Dedham.

Most of my research focuses on Middlesex county, but I live in what used to be Salem Village, so I have some local interest.

I agree that any FaG entry should be taken with a healthy measure of salt.

Regards,

Jack Parker
It is probable that the FaG memorialist for for this Thomas Fuller is a Wikitree contributor, though not that active.

Good catch Anne.
Thanks. The profile narrative indicates that it's a mismatch, and the FindAGrave delimiter is set as samess=no.
The memorial describes Wiki Fuller-2573, as Anne pointed out.  It also asserts a possible link to the Mayflower Fullers Edward and Samuel.  John Fuller-2573 descends from Ralph, William [the Younger], John who in turn was the brother of Robert (father of Robert [the Butcher], father of Edward and Samuel.....per this memorial.  This deviates from Wikitree's John Fuller-89 as gr. father of Edward and Samuel.  The link to Ralph Fuller's memorial offers his will (or portion of it) and argument that his son is Thomas of Dedham, MA and that Fuller-682 is not a brother of this Thomas.

Interesting in that WikiTree shows Thomas Fuller to be my 9th great grandfather.  I had no indication that I had any relative involved with Salem, MA.

I have circumstantial evidence that suggests my fourth great grandfather is his direct descendant. Working on finding more solid proof (or disproof). If true, the Thomas Fuller in question would be my 10th great grandfather in my direct paternal line.

Too far back for au dna to help much. I guess I should do a Y-dna test.
I have ordered y-111 and mtfull DNA kits.  Back in 2 months with an answer?   Thomas Fuller-9185, Jr - WikiTree shows us to be 16c2x.
Not sure when I can get that test. Where did you order from?
FamilytreeDNA.com.  "On Sale."  I followed WikiTree's DNA information page link to them.  I previously uploaded my AncestryDNA to their site.
