Seeking lookup: London Marriage Allegations, Vol. 19: pg 92

Question

This source (London Marriage Allegations, Vol. 19: pg 92) is listed as containing details about the age and father of Herodias Long, wife of John Hicks.

I'd love to actually SEE this record as Moriarty said it did not exist back when he wrote about it in 1944.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hi Jillaine, not sure if you have a subscription to Ancestry but there is a record of the marriage allegation for John Hickes and Harwood(?) Long, dated 14 March 1636.  It's very difficult to read (and too early in the morning here) but it seems to be saying Harwood is about 21 years and the daughter of William Long

It's in the database London and Surrey, England, Marriage Bonds and Allegations 1597-1921 and indexed under John Hicke.  Though Ancestry are stating this was in the Parish of St Clanes, Southwark

No it looks like St Clanes, Southwark is the Parish John Hickes is from, and St Faith where the marriage is to take place?

John, another question: if she was 21, why would she need her father's consent? I ask because later testimony by her claims she was only 13 when she got married yet the marriage record lists her as 21.
