This is my Grandfather standing by his Railway Express Agency truck where he worked for many years.  I inherited the safe from this truck which they let him have when he retired.

I want to borrow one of Pip's sayings here. "I would like to have that truck." A very handsome man that looks like he loved his job. A dangerous job indeed but he liked it, for many years. Do you know if he had anyone riding shotgun with him or did he go by himself? Thank you for sharing the picture of the man with the coolest truck in town.

As far as I know he was alone and COD was very common back then. The fact he had a safe indicates he carried cash. I don’t think he was ever robbed or anything. Sure couldn’t do that today in Little Rock which has very bad crime. Sure wish it was like that today. Things were so simple back then!  Thanks for your comment!
