I am interested in creating Wikipedia pages to reflect prominent biographies, but I'm not sure if this is allowed.

Please assist.

Joseph, please check the following pages to help you determine whether the articles/people you want to add meet their guidelines and how to go about creating an article.

Apart from royal ancestry, which many of us have, what is the basis for including her in Wikipedia? Wikipedia articles are meant for people who contributed something significant to, or held a position of significance in, the society in which they lived.

I second the question. While her Bio is long, it doesn't reflect anything that would make her notable. Perhaps it is in there somewhere but it is mostly transcript of sources that document her life but nothing jumped out as exceptional.

First, we have her journey while pregnant to a world unknown. Her husband dies within a short time and she must rely on handouts kindness to continue. She then marries a second husband and has children, In 1650, the Mahue family were attacked by a band of Iroquois, who broke into their home and killed two of their servants.  Anne and her husband fled with their children into the woods, and when they returned, found that most of their possessions had been taken.  (This was mentioned in a letter from Marie de L'Incarnation, to her son, dated March 17, 1650)

From Mother to Son: The Selected Letters of Marie de l'Incarnation to Claude Martin finally, she marries for the third time. If for nothing else she is notable for surviving the hostilities of her surroundings and the chain of misfortune that dominated her life. This was not a kind time or place for a woman with three known children on of whom dies. She could have perished at any time ending the line many descend from. Both her maternal and paternal lines descend from nobility which I would think worthy of note.  It is one thing to have sites such as this but these first settlers, not just her, all the first families deserve recognition beyond genealogical sites.

Joseph, she is not particularly notable for that, most of my ancestry can claim the same.  Of which she is one.

As far as her lineage making her notable, as soon as she married a non-noble she lost her status.

Not really keen on the idea of the work I did on that profile being converted to Wikipedia, and I don't actually think that they are the right place for her.
Joseph,

If you add a profile like this to Wikipedia, they will simply delete it.
I didn’t copy your work. I’ll let Wikipedia determine if the material is worthy.

I understand copyright and if you read the copyright for the profile I was working on. The site states that I can use or reference as long as it isn’t for commercial use, which Wikipedia will kick any material unless it is free use.

This is not the only site which has these people. They have reviewed one profile I am working on and believe it’s notable, which is Mathieu.

Most of the information used on this site is readily available elsewhere.

Thanks for your input
You are correct. I am working with Wikipedia members at the moment.

I like your thinking, but it would be against copyright to merely copy and paste biographies from one place to another, if that's what you mean. But definitely feel free to use information from one source and put it in your own words. Then add the first as a source for the second and you're good. :)

I agree that simply copying material is not a good idea, but there is more to it than that. What is meant by "prominent biographies"? People we consider important and significant to our various lineages may not warrant Wikipedia articles.
True, this is why I have them review the articles
