Can you provide any other info?  Approximate birth/death dates, names of children, possible county, etc?

Malinda somehow ended up in Michigan, and married William Sexton there in 1907:

"Michigan Marriages, 1868-1925", database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N3JK-GLW : 15 January 2019), William Sexton and Malinda Watkins, 1907.

The record gives Malinda's parents as Thos Bush and Eliza Felty; Malinda was born around 1877.

Here are Malinda and William with Silas and two Watkins siblings in Michigan in 1910:

"United States Census, 1910," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MLPZ-QW7 : accessed 30 May 2019), William M Sexton, Mancelona, Antrim, Michigan, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) ED 11, sheet 14B, family 230, NARA microfilm publication T624 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, 1982), roll 635; FHL microfilm 1,374,648.

Robin, is this new information to you?  If not, please let us know specifically what missing pieces you need.

Edited - remarried 1907, not 1881.

Thank you! This is very useful and fills the empty spot. I knew that she was widowed prior to 1898 but didn't know she remarried. Michigan fits family history. Thank you so very much!

You're welcome!  Here is Malinda's death certificate info:

"Michigan Death Certificates, 1921-1952," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KFH4-1HF : 13 March 2018), Malenda Sexton, 21 Sep 1928; citing East Jordan, Charlevoix, Michigan, United States, Division for Vital Records and Health Statistics, Lansing; FHL microfilm 1,973,212.

It gives her birth date as 13 Jan 1875, and spells her mother's name Phelty.

I think this is John's death info:

"Michigan Deaths and Burials, 1800-1995," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FHTJ-BDS : 10 February 2018), John Watkins, 09 Feb 1907; citing Antrim Co., Michigan, reference v 2 p 23; FHL microfilm 980,363.

Born Kentucky 1867, father Wm Watkins.  The reason I think this is him, is because he and Malinda had a child in Antrim, Michigan in 1905, who sadly died in 1908:

"Michigan Deaths and Burials, 1800-1995," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FHTV-7ZL : 10 February 2018), Lizzie Watkins, 10 Mar 1908; citing Antrim Co., Michigan, reference v 2 p 32; FHL microfilm 980,363.  Parents John Watkins, Melinda Bush.

Wow! You're on a roll !! My grandmother was also their child, verna, "'vernie" Watkins ,but she got married in 1909 so wouldn't be on census. That's awesome new info on them. Thanks again!

Thank Frank Gill for the crucial hint!  I ran across Verna a minute ago....

Here it is, marriage to David Mullens, 16 Mar 1909, parents John Watkins and Malinda Bush:

"Michigan Marriages, 1822-1995," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FZ9L-N57 : 10 February 2018), John Watkins in entry for David Mullens and Vernie Watkins, 16 Mar 1909; citing reference ; FHL microfilm 2,342,685.

When you make their profiles, you can copy/paste these citations into the biographies, rather than looking them up again.

Yep! That's them! Great job!

Thanks for the star, Pip!  smiley
