Canadian WWI soldier profile needs assistance

Question

while (maybe) prepping for the Connect-A-Thon, I was looking at the unlinked unconnected Canadian profiles, looking for profiles with same last name, similar birth years, that splintered on upload to WikiTree.

I noted a profile (and his siblings), it turns out he was a WWI Canadian soldier that was murdered in London, England.

His enlistment papers looks like he was in a different unit than the Canadian Virtual War memorial has him in, but there is a hole punch through the unit #, any guesses which unit it is?

The Commonwealth War Graves card has him in the 1st Quebec Regt Depot at the time of his death, is that a unit?

General clean up and improvement of profile needed.

will try to connect him this weekend (if someone does not do it sooner).

The only thing I can figure out is that correct unit name referenced by the Commonwealth War Graves is 1st Depot Battalion, which was a part of the 1st Quebec Regiment.

I am not surprised at your comment about units.  The attestation unit is the unit that he joined.  If look at the medical history form - you will note that he joined 135th Oversea Battalion.  He subsequently posted (transferred) to the 125th overseas Battalion and finally to the 60 overseas battalion.

One should also note that 1st Quebec Regiment Depot 1 Depot Battalion also makes since the 60th Battalion is associated this the city of Montreal.  60th Battalion was perpetuated by the Victoria Rifles of Canada (a supplementary reserve unit i.e not presently active).
