I am stuck - can anyone help?

My Mother-in-Law was Joyce Cramer (nee Sutherland) 25 Dec 1916 to 17 Sep 1996 in New Zealand

Joyce's parents were: Richard Sutherland (22 Jun 1883-20 Sep 1940) also in NZ and Ida Mary Breese (17 Nov 1882 -24 Sep 1967)

Richard's parents = William Sutherland (13/12/1838 - 27/09/1895) born in Wick, Caithness died in NZ & Mary Elizabeth Beavan

Wm Sutherland's parents = Alexander Sutherland (19/08/1800 in Halkirk, Caithness - died 9 Feb 1884 Helsdale, Kildonan) & Isabella Elizabeth Sinclair

William Sutherland's parents = John Sutherland (7 Feb 1773 Caithness - about 1840) Wm's brothers Alexander; Christian & Donald.

John Sutherland's parents = William Sutherland (? - abt 1800) & Ann Gunn

Any additional information greatly accepted - most of my facts are 2nd hand

I was drawn to this question as I have Sutherland in my background. What I have found through Ancestry.com was that your Sutherland's date back to at least the 12th Century. From what I have found, Alexander was married to a Ann Gunn and that his Father, John, was married to Mary Elizabeth Sinclair. John's father, William, was married to an Ann Gunn. Please contact me for more on this.
