Help with Benjamin Higdon m. Ann Dunning/Downing/Winn of Maryland

I am working on more connections for the GFR and have been working on some Colonial families. I have looked at NEGHS and surfed the web, ancestry, and family search and seem to be missing anything too useful to get this line set up. Anyone interested in helping me track down some sources for Ben and Ann, as well as help determine his parents. From what I see, there were two Bens around the same time, one family in Prince Georges, Maryland, which is the one I am looking at, I think, and one in Charles County, Maryland. They might be the same, but I doubt it. One died closer to 1800 and one far earlier. If my records I have found so far are incorrect, just let me know. I feel like I am shooting in the dark here and some of you are far better versed in Colonial research.

as an aside, I think this will open up a lot of new connections for AJ as well as cut steps for quite a few people since it connects through his aunt.

Yep, I've seen that, but it doesn't really have much for sources. Thanks, though!

I am interested in your question and wanted to ask if you had found any other information. I recently found the resting place of my gr gr gf Benjamin Higdon Lambert in Alexandria VA, and he was married to Phebe Higdon who was a child of the couple you inquired about. They lived PG county MD.

I am currently trying to find info (resting place) for Ben's father John Baptist Lambert and his wife Phebe Higdon and I saw connections with both PG and Charles Co MD. I have seen marriage dates but no obit or burial records.

I put a few sources on his page, but it mostly just confirmed previous information already posted for the Dunning/Downing family. Prince George's County was created from parts of Charles County in 1696 so a connection to Charles County makes sense for this family. There was a Benjamin Higdon living in Charles County in 1725 but only an inventory was taken. A brief search of the land records didn't turn up anyone with this surname in PG county.
