orphaned/adopted pre-1500 unmerged match [closed]

Oops!  I was looking at unmerged matches and saw a familiar name  Isabel Corbet (Valletort-10) and  Isabel Corbet (Valletort-14) .  They are the same person as far as wife and mother, but each is assigned a different set of parents.  I thought I might do some work on researching this, then when I saw one was an orphaned profile I adopted it.  Then, when I was going to make a brief note in the research section, realized I needed to be pre-1500 certified.  I don't qualify, yet.
I know the research is not definitive on many of these folks.  Douglas Richardson's work came to mind from when I used to do a lot of perusing of a medieval newsgroup, having traced one of my branches back to connections with many of these early folks.  I know that brothers and cousins often had children of the same name not many years apart in age which complicates the research.  This may be a case of that.  Or it could be that Isabel was assigned to the wrong parents on one of the profiles.

To get to the point, I probably should not have adopted the profile so quickly, not being pre-1500 qualified yet.  I will work on it anyway since I have some information about these families I can revisit.
If I make any headway maybe it can be a pre-1500 qualifying project.  However, it may be that I should be asking to be removed as profile manager because of not yet being pre-1500 qualified.  I need some guidance about this. Thanks in advance!

I added the EuroAristo tag, as this profile falls within its jurisdiction.  I reviewed the profiles and the comments that date back quite some time.  As such, I detached the set of parents (with links and note in bio) that were impossible to be hers due to dates, and then merged the two profiles.

Since you aren't (yet) pre-1500 certified, feel free to leave notes in the profile's comments section with information you locate.  Sources for the information need to be provided (with a link if its an online source) as well.  Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Thank you. Darlene, for merging the Isabel Corbets.

To remove yourself as manager, simply go to the privacy tab and select "remove self" .... that being said, if you wish to research a pre-1500 profile, you are more than welcome to do so.  Post your research for this person here, and a pre-1500 certified person will add the research (with sources) to the profile that you manage.  Eventually, you will be able to get certified and be able to add to your profiles, yourself.  Respond here if you "make headway."  Tally-ho!

Thanks for your response and advice Janne.  I think I will leave it like it is and see what I can find to contribute!
Good for you!  Let me know if I can be of any assistance, then.
Thank you, I will!

Mary,

You can remove yourself as profile manager if you choose to do so. Simply click the "privacy" button from the menu at the top of the profile, then cursor down and there will be an option to remove yourself as pm.
