Jesse Lee Boone was born on 5 Dec 1844 in Rutland, Harrison County, Kentucky, United States, son of James Ellis Boone and Joannah (Overly) Boone.

Jesse married Zilpha Ann Skinner on 10 Jan 1867. Their children were:
