James was born in 1758. He passed away in 1841.[1]
James fought in the Revolutionary War and received a pension in 1833.[2][3]

Military service information. Revolutionary War. Drafted - 1778, for 2 months duty, with Captain James Anderson Company, of Col. John Burton's Regiment. Drafted - 1780, for 18 months duty, with the companies of Captain Richard Swepson & Captain Scott, of Colonel William Daris's Regiment. He was in engagement at "Woods Point" on the James River. Drafted - 1781, for 2 months duty. Applied for, Revolutionary War pension - January 21, 1833, Elbert Co., Georgia.
In 1840 James was living in Shelby County, Alabama.[4]
