Listed as a public school teacher in the 1910 census. She was an avid genealogist and corresponded at length during the 1960's with a distant cousin, George Roberts, who was a descendant of James and Rebecca Hamilton as well and was also an avid genealogist. Their mutual concern was the state of the Hamilton Cemetery which has been established by Andrew Jackson Hamilton around 1877 "for the descendants of James Hamilton" his father.

She is buried in the Eight Mile Cemetery, Beedeville, Jackson County, Arkansas, USA (1)
