Biography

John Schoonover, or Scoonover, (Christopher, Jonas Van Schoonhoven, Niclaes, Hendrick Claessen, Claes Hendrickse, Hendrich1 Van Schoonhoven) was born about 1794 [1]in Pennsylvania.[2]

He married Martha Burdick about 1805, she was born in 1794.[1]

In 1850 John was a farmer. He and his family, including his father, lived in Deerfield Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.[2]

In 1860 John and Martha are living in Deerfield, their daughter Emeline and her two children are living with the family. Jules Morgan and Sophia are living next door. The men are all farmers.[3]
