Christiaan Gabriel Theron^[1] was born in 1774. He married Maria Magdalena Strauss in 1794, and remarried in 1796 with Maria Magdalena van Heerden.

Houdenbek Slave Revolt of 1825

Christiaan Gabriël Theron was the stepfather of Roelof van Heerden (bef.1793-1861), an earlier son of his second wife. Likely this was the "Roelof van Eerden" mentioned in the report of the trial at Worcester. Roelof also joined the commando, and is said to have a farm not too far from Wagendrift of Fieldcornet W.F. du Toit.
