Joseph and Abigail (Baldwin) Headstones. Joseph's is on the right. In North Cemetery at Wayland, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Inscription for Joseph reads, "ERECTED To the memory of JOSEPH CURTIS Esq. Being reputably descended; Possessed of excellent abilities; Improved by a good education; He appeared to great advantage In public social and domestic life and particularly exhibited The judicious MAGISTRATE The accomplished OFFICER The exemplary CHRISTIAN Death closed the scene of his usefulness Oct 6th 1791 AE. LXIX." Inscription for Abigail reads, "In Memory of Mrs. ABIGAIL CURTIS. Widow of the late Joseph Curtis Esq. who died Aug. 17, 1805. AEt. 17." From Ancestry Public Member Photos.
