Birth and Parents

Joseph Curtis was born in Massachusetts.

Joseph, the third son and fifth of six children of Ephraim and Mary Stone was born on 22 December 1721 at Sudbury, Massachusetts.^[1]

American Revolutionary War Service

Major Joseph Curtis served with Middlesex County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Joseph served at the rank of Major during the American Revolutionary War with the Massachusetts Militia.^[2]

Marriage and Children

Joseph married Abigail Baldwin, the daughter of David and Abigail (Jennison) Baldwin on 7 May 1752 at Sudbury, Massachusetts.^[3]They had eleven children born at Sudbury:
