This is the gravestone in Smithfield, Orange Free State, South Africa of Rose Roberts nee Duncan. Rose Duncan was born on 1 Nov 1807 in Kilkenny, Ireland. Rose married John Roberts of the 75th Regiment of Foot in Dublin on 14 Jan 1829 in Dublin, Ireland. Rose and John emigrated to South Africa, it is believed, in 1834. Rose Roberts nee Duncan died in Smithfield, Orange Free State, South Africa on 6 Apr 1878.
