Biography
Christina Ängberg was born on December 3, 1864 in Överbo in Mo parish, Gävleborgs län, Sweden. She was the daughter of allotment soldier Jonas Ängberg and his wife Brita Henningsdotter.[1]
She had 6 children born out of wedlock, tree died as infants:
- Brita Kristina (1884-1884)
- Kristina b. 1886
- Färner (1887-1887)
- Jonas (1889-1889)
- Emanuel b. 1890
- Hedvig b. 1891
She lived with her children in Mo's church village: Kyrkbyn, 1884-1890.[2]
On August 23, 1892 she emigrated to the United States with her children Kristina, Emanuel and Hedvig.
Research notes
She married John Ohman in 1885 according to United States census records, but he was not divorced from his first wife until 1887. Perhaps they had promised each other. Stina's first child was born in 1886. Perhaps Jonas was the father of all her children.

Christine Engberg was born 3 January 1865 in Gutenberg, Sweden. She married John Ohmen in Sweden in 1885. They emigrated to the United States in 1892. Christine passed away in Thorp, Wisconsin on 9 October 1938. Christine and John had 9 children, including Idah Dorothy Ohmen.
