Biography

Dorcas (Abbott) Wayman was a Maryland colonist.

Dorcas Abbott was born circa 1658 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. This area is near what is now Anapolis, Maryland. Dorcas Abbott was the daughter of Simon Abbott and his wife Maudlin.^[1]

Dorcas Abbott was married to Leonard Wayman in Anne Arundel County.^[2] The couple had three known children, as follows:

Deborah Wayman, who was married to Thomas Linthicum.

Edmund Wayman^[3]

Leonard Wayman Junior^[4] An earlier child of the same name did not survive.^[5]

Dorcas Abbott Wayman died circa 1721. She is buried at the All Hallows Parish churchyard in Anne Arundel County.^[6]
