Biography

David, the son of Johannes Abeel and Catalina Schuyler, was married to Maria Duycking, the daughter of Gerrit Duycking and Maria Abeel. Together they baptized at least two children. [1]

Many Revolutionary war records/family genealogies list David Abeel born before 13 Aug 1727 as the son of the David Abeel of this profile when in fact the David Abeel born before 13 Aug 1727 is the son of Christoffel Abeel who is David Abeel's brother, since the son David of this David Abeel died in 1731.

I'm pretty sure David is the father of my 7th great-grandfather Col. Jakobus Abeel.
