Biography

Parents

Her parents have not been established. Strictly from family tree and the certainty that she was the mother of Katherine Lehman (wife of George W. Goodson). No paper evidence has been found. The parents are based on Susanah's marriage date and other Abernathys in the general area that would have had large families and were the appropriate age to be her parents and had a daughter by the name of Susan or Susannah. I have copy of the marriage certificate and a copy of the official record with verification.

Spouse Francis J. Lehmons

Lincoln County marriage bond executed by Francis J. Lehman, naming his intended bride as Susanna Abernathy. Bondsman: Isaiah Abernathy; North Carolina Marriage Bonds 1741-1868, digital image at Ancestry.com. Digital image also at FamilySearch.[1]

I am inclined to believe that Savanna Abernathy died around 1845 due to the lack of census registration or any other indication that she was alive after that date.

Abernathy-1492 and Abernathy-69 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicate profiles. Same parents.
