Patrick was born about 1852 in County Mayo, Ireland to Patrick Akins & Mary.[1] He had one daughter. On May 14th, 1876, while working in the shipyards he fell from the ship's stage, which caused his death.[2] He was interred May 17th at the Spion Kop Cemetery in Hartlepool.
