Ann was born about 1859 in County Mayo, Ireland to Patrick Akins & Mary.[1][2] She was a known character to the police appearing in court twenty-four times. On July 1st, 1894, Ann died from a cerebral hemorrhage at the workhouse in Throston, Durham.[3] She was buried July 4th at the Spion Kop Cemetery in Hartlepool.
