René Angélil was born on 16 January 1942 in Montréal, Québec, Canada, son of Joseph Angelil (1900–1967) and Alice Sara (1915–1997).
He was first married to Denise Denyse Duquette on Dec 11, 1966. They divorced in 1972.
He then married singer Anne Renée (born Manon Kirouac) in 1973. They divorced in 1985/6.
He married Céline Dion on 17 December 1994.
Rene died 14 January 2016 at his home in Las Vegas after a long battle with cancer.
