Biography

Marie Josephe Armant is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana; her plaque isn't yet located but she is listed on the Memorial's website.[1][2]

She was born about 1753 in Louisbourg, Acadie.
She married Louis Joseph LAMATHE 12 May 1769 in Pointe Coupee, Louisiana. Marie Joseph died 18 Nov 1769 and was buried the next day in the Pointe Coupee church cemetery. [3]
