Biography
Wallace Bruce Armstrong was born on the 16th of August 1870.[1] He was the son of Russell Bigelow Armstrong and Rachel Brown.[1] In 1875 he lived with his parents and two siblings in Wyandotte, Kansas, where his father worked as a real estate agent.[2] Five years later they were still in Wyandotte.[3] His father's occupation was now listed as "editor & real estate & insurance."[3] Wallace, now nine, stayed home with his mother and four siblings.[3] None were marked as having attended school.[3]
Wallace married Clementine Breueisen on the 20th of Jan 1896 in Armourdale, Wyandotte, Kansas.[4]
Wallace died on Sunday morning, April the 9th 1899.[1] He had been ill for a short time.[1] Wallace was thought to be a "man of temperate habits, kind and thoughtful to his friends, and fond of his home."[1] Wallace was survived by his widow and two young daughters.[1] He had not yet reached his twenty-ninth birthday.[1] Their daughter Lenora "Brownie" Armstrong died shortly after at the age of two.[5] Cause of death was pneumonia.[5]
