I tried to research this gentleman, but could not find much more than what is listed. I did learn about the Haitian Revolution, which I had never known about. It appears that he was serving as a Captain in this war based on the fact his death location is listed as Cape Francois is various periodicals of the time. A young man, lost as many, without knowledge of what his life was like, although I imagine he was involved in our revolution as well. (I haven't been able to find any sources to confirm my thought.)
