Biography
Joseph was born in 1686. He is the son of Joseph Ashley and Mary Parsons. [1] Joseph had a paternal half brother, also named Joseph, born via an out of wedlock affair-which reportedly caused his mother Mary (parsons) ashley to petition for a dovorce which she ended up not following through with.
Joseph married Martha Leonard and they had at least 3 children.
Joseph died May 12th, 1720, after which his widow re-married.
