The publication, "Staffordshire Members of Parliament" (p. 128) describes Thomas's wife as Elizabeth Cloddeshall, when in 1360 and 1388 they were involved and pardoned in a murder, and then in 1397 and 1410 he is found married to the widow of Sir William Devereaux, and later writing describes Thomas's wife Elizabeth as the "sister and coheiress of Reynold de Leigh.
