Biography
Sarah was born about 1740 in Virginia. The birth year is a guess based on known birth dates of two siblings. She was the daughter of Samuel Atkinson and Mary Taylor. [1]
She married Joab Meador prior to 1766, probably in Cumberland County Virginia as that is where her parents lived at the time of the marriage. Sarah and Joab were the parents of at least six children: [2]

- Jonas M Meador (1767-1826)
- Samuel Meador (1771-1854)
- Frances (Meador) Willis (abt.1775-aft.1857)
- Sarah (Meador) Davis (1775-1849)

Sarah died after 19 September 1825 when she is recorded in estate records of Joab Meador in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.[3]
