Biography

John was born in 1808. He is the son of Harris Babcock and Sally Newell.[1] He married Harriet Shattuck. [2]Their children were:

1. Frances C. Babcock Davis 1852 - 1926

3. Mary Babcock 1855 –1877
4. Edson Babcock 1856 –1885
5. William Wayland Babcock 1857 - 1927
6. Frank 1859 -

8. Hattie Babcock Eaton 1862 - 1896
9. Cora D. Babcock Spears 1864 - 1912

The family lived in Guilford, Windham, Vermont.[3] John died in 1867[4] and is buried in Maplehurst Cemetery, Guilford, Windham County, Vermont.[5]
