Biography
Cornelis Simonsz Luup Backer married Alijt / Alit / Aaltje Willems on Jan 6 1737 in Andijk.
Children: Simon (Dec 22 1737), Lijsbeth (Dec 25 1740), Maertje / Maritje (June 3 1742 - March 25 1744), (child, April 20 1749). Maritje (1747), Antje (1748, married Pieter Nannesz Swiep), Grietje (died Jan 15 1753).
The Andijk baptism records are lost from 1743 through 1748, and obviously there were a few more children born during these years.
We don't know how Cornelis got the last name Luup. In Dutch, "loop" means to walk. So maybe he had a distinct walk or did a lot of extra walking.
