Levi and his brother Goerge, moved to Unity sometime before 1827 or 1828 where Levi built a dam on Bacon Brook. He also built a sawmill on the brook but it was carried away in a flood. He then built another sawmill. He also had at various times four brickyards where he made bricks, and a tannery all which were destroyed at one time or another. He was one of the supporters of the effort to establish the Free Meeting House which opened its doors in late 1841, and later became the Unity Union. He, Marry jane and Lizzie are in the same plot in Unity Cemetery.
