Alice was born in Adelaide, South Australia near the Government Farm in 1851, the daughter of Archibald Badman and Hannah Cox[1].
Aged 18, she married George Baker in her father's house in Unley in 1868[2][3] and they had 6 children:
Frances Hannah (1869)
Louisa Caroline (1871)
Laura Matilda Emery (1873
George Herbert Joseph (1875)
Frederick Clement (1878)
Alice Maude Franks (1882)
George was a farmer and they moved around working in Two Wells, Dublin, Murray Bridge and Napperby.[4]
She died on 16 October 1921 in Nailsworth[5][6] and is buried in the Mitcham General Cemetery[7][8]
