John was born in 1881. [1]
He was born at Yanyarrie, near Quorn, district of Frome, in outback South Australia. His birth was registered in Adelaide by his aunt, Annie Bessie Bahr, of Ifould Street, Adelaide in November 1881. [2]
John Bahr was aged 20, and a bachelor, when he married Lillian May Carter in 1902. John's occupation was as a Driver. [3]
John Albert Bahr died in 1962, aged 81. He lived at Beulah Park, but died in a hospital at Magill. [4]
John Albert "Alby" Bahr was an Australian Rules footballer who played for the Norwood Football Club in the South Australian Football Association/League (SAFA/SAFL) from 1902 to 1912. He served as Norwood's Captain from 1907 to 1910 and again in 1912. While also serving as the Club's Coach: 1911, 1912.

His wife was my great Auntie Lill Bahr. Their children are my Mother's second-cousins. I remember Auntie Hazel, Auntie Winnie and Auntie Eileen. Grantley was the son of Eileen, I think, and was about my age. We played on a tricycle. I must have been 2 or 3 years old. c. 1945. Mum was very close to her Conner cousins. BLS.
